Serve with fried rice, plain rice or use to make lettuce wraps. Can be served as a starter as well. Vegetarians can use paneer instead of shrimp.
Ingredients:
15 Shrimps - cleaned and de-veined OR 10 to 15 cubes of paneer
Salt to taste
1 tsp - White vinegar
1 tsp - black pepper powder
1 tbsp - chopped ginger
1/2 white onion - chopped
10 cloves garlic - chopped
2 green chilies - slit in half
2 red chilies - broken
1 tsp - tomato paste
1/2 tsp - red chili powder
1 tbsp corn starch
Oil - 2 tbsp
1/2 cup Green onion, chopped
Method:
For Shrimp - Marinate shrimp with pepper powder, salt, vinegar and ginger.
For Paneer - Soak paneer cubes in salt water for 10 minutes. Dry with paper towel. Add about a tbsp of oil to a pan and lightly fry the paneer pieces on all sides.
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Add onion, garlic, green chilies and red chilies.
- Stir for a minute.
- Add marinated shrimp OR prepared paneer.
- Stir fry for 2 -3 minutes.
- Add some salt and corn starch and cook for about a minute.
- Add tomato paste, red chili powder and green onion and stir for another 2-3 minutes.
- Serve hot.
