"Sungta Hooman" - the Goan shrimp curry.
Ingredients:
Shrimp - 10 pieces, cleaned and de-veined.
Coconut Milk - 1 cup
Onion chopped - 1 cup
Red chilies - 3 to 4
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Tamarind - small ball, soaked in 2 tbsp of hot water.
Coriander seeds - 2 tsp
Salt - to taste
Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp
Water - 1 1/2 cups
Drumsticks or radish (optional) - 1/2 cup

Water - 1 1/2 cups

Method:
- Apply salt to shrimps and set aside. Grind together coconut milk, red chilies, turmeric powder, coriander seeds and tamarind.
- Heat a pot and add oil.Put 1/2 cup onions and saute for about 2 minutes. Add the rest of the onion, drumsticks/radish and water.
- Wash shrimps and add to the pot.Allow to cook till shrimps are done. They will change color when cooked, in about 2 minutes.
- Add the ground paste and bring to boil.
