Gobi Meethi Shak




A variation of the Goan Meethi Sabji with Cauliflower. Serve with rotis/patathas or as a side with rice.









Ingredients:
Cauliflower, 1 cup - chopped into medium size pieces
1 bunch of fresh Meethi leaves , chopped finely
A small piece of Jaggery or 1/2 tsp sugar
Green chilies - 2, slit
Oil - 2 tbsp
Meethi seeds - 1 tsp
Curry Leaves - 3-4
Turmeric - 1/8 tsp

Grated coconut - 2 tbsp
Salt to taste

Method:


  • Heat oil in a pan. Add meethi seeds and green chilies.
  • Add cauliflower, curry leaves and turmeric.
  • Saute the cauliflower on low to medium heat till almost cooked and lightly browned.
  • Add meethi leaves and saute till cooked.
  • Add salt, jaggery and grated coconut and sprinkle a little water. Mix well and cook covered on low heat for about a minute or 2.
  • Remove the cover and cook till all the moisture has dried up.
